The Pays de Gex is ideal terrain for cycling,
whether you are on a mountain bike
or road touring.
The Jura has plenty of off-road tracks for bikers
of all levels and there are a number of popular
touring cycle clubs in the Pays de Gex. In the
summer the cable cars that normally serve the
ski resorts in the winter can take you and your
bicycle up the Jura either at Lelex, Crozet or
La Faucille and allow you to choose any route
down.
The Crozati centre in Crozet is one of just a
hundred specially designated mountain biking sites
in France, and offers repair shops and refreshments
particularly for mountain bikers, and grade the
various routes in the region like ski pistes (ie
red, blue etc) depending on their level of difficulty.
